It took me two failed marriages and a few failed relationships to find my soul mate. I have been married to him for a year now and I could not imagine being happier with anyone else. It stinks that we are now almost in our mid 40s and did not meet each other when we were younger, but I guess everything happens when it is supposed to. Have you found your soul mate? If so, how old were you when you found him or her?

I have found my soul mate and I was lucky enough to find him while we were still in High School. We have been together for 17 years now and have been married for 13. I love having the chance to be with my best friend every day of my life and I can't imagine spending it with anyone else!

Afree many failed relationships I have found mine too. We are in our 40s too. I think it makes it much better because we knew how long it took to find each other. I'm very happy now.

I have been to 3 failed relationships and 1 failed marriage; however, I can't really say that I have found my soulmate. I am not really sure how it will feel when I do!

My husband and I both have a similar story - we were both married twice and had multiple other failed relationships before we found each other. We were in our mid-thirties when we met, but that thankfully still gave us time to start a family together. Nine years and a precocious daughter later and I still fall more in love with him everyday.

I think it takes a few failed relationships to find a soulmate. It doesn't matter when you find him or her but the important thing is to make sure that you are firstly, best of friends. I found mine after three failed relationships.

This is a hard thing for me to face. I thought I might have found mine years ago but became convinced that modern society was too hard on people who have true love, so I abandoned ship. What's worse is that I may have convinced her as well that this could be the real thing and left her marooned on that island I built. If there ever was a certain criteria for going to hell......I think I met it.

If I could get a second chance I would tell her all this and hope for forgiveness, but I just don't see how that's possible anymore.

I will never give up hope that it could happen though............ever.

Aww, that's wonderful, Snowy! My husband and I were both 42 when we met. He had never had children and I have two from a previous marriage. My kids are older, they are now 15 and 22. However, my husband is a wonderful step father to them. He says they are his kids too and he could not be any better to them if they actually were his blood children. This is just one of the many reasons I know he is my soul mate. Not every step parent accepts their spouse's children as lovingly as he has. :)

This just goes to show that you are never too old to find true love. I see a lot of people around me giving up on love when they fail the first or second time. I think that we all can find our soulmate at any time and we should never stop looking no matter our age or previous circumstance.

Exactly! Never give up on finding your true love, your soul mate. I've seen people give up too and it's heartbreaking. Sometimes your soul mate finds you when you're not even looking.
