I am in the process of planning a trip, and of course, an internet search brings up plenty of websites that offer price comparisons like Hotels.com, Priceline, and Trivago. I am curious what sites people here use that you have found offer the best prices and the best selection? Thanks in advance!

I can't remember the site I used, Cheapflights.com I think, and I found some really good deals on round trip plane tickets. I don't need a hotel so the search was quick and easy.

I'll try Trivago though and see if I can do better. Thanks for the tip Sarah. ;)

I recently booked an hotel room through an online site and found that if I had contacted the hotel directly, the price would have been the same! This wasn't the first time this has happened. Plus, the online website charged an "administration fee" for their "effort" in procuring the sale. What a rip-off! From now on, I'll do scheduling and booking myself by looking up various hotels in areas of interest, just like the "old days"!
